The Tour of Corsicana rolls into town each Spring. The races will open with a time trial and downtown criterium on Saturday, followed by Sunday's road race and the return of the gravel grinder, for those looking for an adventure. Bring your lawn chairs and grab a spot on the sidewalk to cheer on your favorite riders as they zoom through downtown -- and make a weekend of it by coming back Sunday for the later stages.

Fall meant cotton picking time; the three gins were running, people had a job, and they had money in their pockets. After a week of hard hot work, Saturday was the day to come to town, see your friends, sample some special treats, and have some fun.
